PS4 Delayed Release in China

A few days before the release of the PlayStation 4 in China, Sony called back their launch plans. They said they needed to cancel the launch for "various reasons." They haven't released another launch date. According to a company source it was delayed because of negotiations with Chinese authorities. If it was released it would be the first time a PlayStation would have been sold in China.

If we back up 15 years  China placed a ban on all foreign consoles because they thought that it would negatively effect the physical and mental growth of children. When wind of the lift of the band both Microsoft and Sony planned their release dates. The Xbox One made it through and was released in China on September 29th. China is considered the third largest market and could have revenues of up to $15 billion .

I feel that the ban on video games is a little to much. There are a lot of positive effects of video games (read my previous article for more info on this). I am a Xbox gamer myself so writing about PlayStation is weird. I believe that PlayStation will get a lot less sales than Xbox because Xbox was first and it doesn't have any competitors their so when Sony finally gets their almost everybody will have an Xbox. I still think Sony should do it though because sales are sales which means money and to add variety out there.
